Junior Church

When's it on?

The junior church at SBC runs during the 10.30am service.  Following the worship time, the children and young people leave to go to their class in the fun learning room off the main service hall.

Who can go?

Junior church currently teaches children aged 9-14.  All school-aged children are welcome.  Please contact Charlie Metcalfe to get more information and so that she can arrange age-appropriate bible-based material for your child.

Who runs Junior Church?

At the present time there is one lead (Charlie, pictured here with her son, Josh), whose aim is to share the love of Jesus with the children, help them understand their Bible better, encourage them to grow in their faith and live their lives for God.

What do we do?

We use age-appropriate activities including games, drama, discussion, crafts etc. to explore the Bible in a way that is relevant to children and young people.  We are currently basing many of our lessons on the popular online, Bible based resource, Ministry to Children.  More information on this can be found at https://ministry-to-children.com.
