When you know the journey that we have been on as a tech team within SBC, you will understand the pride that we have in sharing our recorded messages for God's Glory!

Have you ever felt that a ministers message has been shared that must have been for you, and you alone? There were many times that I personally felt that a minister's message must have been written with only me in mind. But I knew that it would speak to others. I knew that we had so much to offer, and it was worth capturing and sharing! If only there was a way of sharing it..... Enter in my tech mentor, Neil Millward, of Lossie Baptist Church in Scotland. Here's where I will say that, if you ever need any help with your church tech, he's a miracle worker! Starting during the Covid19 Pandemic of 2020 (the catalyst for many churches to find innovative ways to reach their fellowship when isolation was the order of the day), and from hundreds of miles away, Neil helped me get more out of our old analogue sound desk and signposted me to some newer tech bits, to be able to do services over Zoom and then record what we were doing in church. I always said that if it reached just one person at the right time, then it was definitely worth all the tech-heartache that it took to produce.

We started out simply recording the message/sermon element of our service to share far and wide, essentially as a podcast, with a starting and finishing bit edited into it afterwards.

Fast forward to 2024, we've now got a digital sound desk (now remember that I'm a Physiotherapist, not a sound engineer, so had no idea what a game changer a digital desk would be - whoop whoop!), and some additional microphones etc, so can do far more with the recording and sound than we ever have before! And the sound quality has improved as well., both in-house as well as on the recording. Now, as you'll see from our more recent offerings, we're sharing the whole service. We felt that singing worship is as big a part of our ministry as the message, and absolutely worth people receiving, not to mention the Prayer, so capturing all the elements was really important to us to share.

So it is with great pride that we share our service recordings. Capturing what is a 'Spirit-Led' service can be a challenge, to follow the ministers lead if it goes slightly off-plan, so we beg you, please bear with us as Jean and I use our learned, but by no means professionally-trained, skills to keep up with sound adjustments.
As always, we hope and pray that our offerings are a blessing to all. We know that the right message will reach the right person at the right time. We know it will bless you x
